Overview

Cats From Future is an independent music project presenting itself as a sonic anomaly originating from a displaced future timeline.

The project explores unstable transmissions of sound that appear fragmented, evolving, and subtly altered across iterations, as if music itself were struggling to fully stabilize in time.

Each release is conceived as a coherent audiovisual artifact rather than a simple collection of tracks.

Creative Process

The creative process is highly iterative and selective. Musical ideas are explored, revisited, compared, refined, and sometimes discarded before a final piece takes shape. Some tracks can require several weeks of exploration, listening, comparison, and refinement before reaching a form that feels complete.

The objective is to create music that carries atmosphere, emotion, and a meaningful listening experience.

Artistic Direction

Cats From Future operates at the intersection of production and curation.

A background in DJing in small venues helped shape a selection-driven approach to music : listening to large amounts of material and retaining only what truly works in context. The same mindset continues to guide the project today.

Most generated material is discarded. Only a small fraction is retained, and every selected track must contribute to a coherent sonic and emotional narrative.

The project is driven by a simple idea : music should make people feel something.

Whether that feeling is excitement, tension, nostalgia, comfort, energy, curiosity, or something more difficult to describe, the search for that emotional response guides every decision.

Tracks are selected because they create a reaction, because they carry a mood, an atmosphere, or a sensation worth returning to.

Every release is shaped with two perspectives in mind : the satisfaction of artistic exploration and the hope of creating genuine pleasure, emotion, and connection for the listener.

Technology

Generative audio systems are used as part of the creative process.

Like any creative instrument, they serve a broader artistic vision guided by human choices, selection, and direction.

The focus of the project remains the listening experience, emotional resonance, and atmosphere rather than the tools used to create the music.
